Chai Tea Granola

It's no secret I love anything chai, and this warming granola is a favourite breakfast treat.

Makes 1 Litre


what you need

1 1/2 cups organic rolled oats 

3 tablespoons coconut oil

3/4 cup maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla powder

1 tablespoon masala powder

2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

1/3 cup flaked almonds

1/2 cup almonds

1/2 cup coconut flakes

3 tablespoons chia seeds

What to do

Preheat oven 150°C.

Line a large tray with baking paper.

Place all ingredients, except the chia seeds, into a large bowl and mix well.

Spread granola mix onto prepared baking tray and bake for 35 minutes, shaking and spooning granola mix every 6-10 minutes to make sure it cooks evenly and colours evenly. You can also cook this on the stove top in a large heavy based pan on a very low heat, stirring constantly, for the same duration of time.

Remove from oven or stove top and pour mixture into a large bowl. Allow to cool then add the chia seeds and mix through.


Will store well in an airtight container for up to three weeks.
